Orifice Plates

Orifice Plates are available in two main types, Universal and "Paddle"- type.
Paddle - type are mostly used in between the flange fittings, like the orifice flange assemblies.
Most plates are concentric design, but others are available for specialised flow conditions.

Restriction Orifice Plates and Multistage Spools

Restriction devices are designed primarily for gas pressure reduction (let-down) operations, either as part of continuous process or for periodic and/or intermittent pressure relief "blow down" operations (e.g. venting pressurised gas storage vessel tanks).


If the pressure reduction is to be part of a continuous process, and the required pressure drop is too high for a single orifice plate, a special spool piece fitting can be used, incorporating several orifice plates, each at a prescribed distance from the next.

Orifice Flange Unions

The Orifice Flange Union is a precision component designed for flow measurement and pressure drop monitoring in pipelines. Combining the functionality of an orifice plate holder and flange, it ensures accurate flow readings and leak-proof sealing, making it ideal for industries such as oil & gas, chemical processing, and water treatment.

Meter Tubes

FMC provides adequate upstream and downstream pipe lengths required to achieve optimum flow profile.
The lengths are determined by AGA 3 or ISO 5167 - normally 17D Upstream (AGA 3) and 18D (ISO 5167) and 5D Downstream for Orifice meters.

Meter Tubes can be supplied with Flow Straightener (Accessories) and CPA Flow Profiler.
Different configurations apply depending on location of tees, elbows, bends, valves elsewhere in upstream piping.
Flow Conditioners can be used to improve flow profile in difficult or more complex piping configurations.

Single Chamber Orifice Meters

The OrificeMaster meter houses and accurately positions the orifice plate for differential pressure measurement.
The fittings allow for fast and efficient removal and replacement of the orifice plate without physically removing the meter from the line.
The OrificeMaster utilizes the '590' Integral Plate which is impossible to locate the wrong way to the flow direction.

The fittings allow for fast and efficient removal and replacement of the orifice plate without physically removing the meter from the line.
